Note, this is an external checkout page so please familiarize yourself with our registration offerings prior to visiting this page so that you can easily select the pre-conference workshops and short courses, during conference activities (morning bird walks ~5-8am, reception and dinner) and post conference field trips that you wish to register for. Please be patient as the form can take a while to load. 

Before registering make sure you:

  • Have your SCB membership ID
  • Your abstract ID if you are presenting (this is in the footer of your abstract acceptance email in small font)
  • Your selected conference activities

PLEASE NOTE: The Oxley Common bird walk with Hugh Possingham is on SUNDAY July 10th, not Saturday as stated on the checkout page.


Registration types:

We offer a reduced registration rate for SCB members. You must supply your membership ID during registration. If you select a member rate your SCB membership must be current.  All registration details will be validated by the Society and any members with registered at the membership rate with lapsed memberships will be contacted and asked to renew their memberships to maintain the registration rate selected.

What does your registration include?

  • Attendance for all three days of the conference, July 6-8.
  • Morning tea and lunches July 6-8 during the conference. If you have any dietary restrictions please note them in your registration form.
  • Welcome reception held at the conference venue July 5 at 6pm. Note this event is free to attendees but you must nominate whether you will be attending to receive your ticket.  Additional tickets may be purchased for $15.
  • Pre-conference workshops and short courses July 4-5 held at UQ. Please visit the program to identify any pre-conference activities you wish to register for prior to checking out.  Note, these workshops and courses are free to attend, but no lunches will be provided. You will be responsible for providing your own lunches on these days.
  • A biodiversity and carbon donation. We are partnering with The Queensland Trust of Nature for SCBO Brisbane 2016. For every paid registration we will donate $5 to The Queensland Trust for Nature to support reforestation and Cassowary conservation on their property Lot 66 in the Wet Tropics.
